Previously, Jack sneaks Cole out of the hospital and reunites him with Maya and his baby. Though he still can’t talk, his secret finally comes out about the many years of deliberately misleading everyone about his mental disability and dependence on Jack.
As Jack gained a new understanding of his son, he was both relieved and anxious about what would happen next. Dr. Michaels called from the hospital with news on the search for Cole. As he explained to Jack, Cole’s disappearance didn’t cause as much of a stir as they had thought it might. His surgeon, Ella was glad that he was gone. She worried about whether or not he would ever gain the ability to speak again but now she wouldn’t have to fear the drug dealers and threats anymore. The police were also not so concerned as Cole wasn’t wanted for any crimes. This was good news to Jack as it would give him some time to stay where they were and work on a plan to get them somewhere out of Maya’s father’s reach.
Then there was the press, which had followed Cole closely since his arrest, but now they were far more interested in the ongoing investigation of Veronica and the Stanton family. No one had yet been charged in her husband’s poisoning. Veronica and the staff were all suspects but there was little evidence to lead them in any direction. While Veronica had this to worry about, she also had great concerns over her daughter Lily, who had just been released from the hospital after her fall. Missing her chance on American Idol had left her deeply sad and depressed. As a result, she had made a hasty decision to fly to Las Vegas this weekend to marry Denny. Veronica wasn’t happy about it but needed to be supportive. She had promised to be there for them, as did Ella and Ivy who also committed to the trip.
Ivy though had other intentions. She knew she had to find a way to stop the wedding and get rid of Denny once and for all. He was proving to be nothing but a distraction. Ivy had everything planned for Lily’s success on American Idol but it all unraveled once she ended up in the hospital. This set back would delay Ivy’s ability to complete the “Fame” portion of her thesis. Now she had to find a new way for Lily to become famous but it certainly wouldn’t be with Denny tagging along. He was holding her back. She needed a plan but it had to be permanent. Lily was far too loyal to him and would not let him go unless she had no other choice.
Ivy only had three days until they were to leave for Vegas so it needed to be quick. It would also have to be certain not to look like a murder. There was way too much suspicion and investigation surrounding the Stantons currently so she needed to be very careful. Vote below on what will happen next or if reading in email click Take our Poll.
